What's Happening Locally

SOFTBALL UMPIRES of P.E.I. (SUPEI) - Notice of Meeting and Clinics for Spring 2012                                                      

Semi-Annual Meeting - will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 6:30 PM at Sport PEI, 40 Enman Crescent, Charlottetown.       ALL umpires returning and new are encouraged to attend.

West Clinic - Sunday, April 22 in Summerside. Location and Time TBA.

East Clinic - Date, Location and Time TBA 

Rules and field positioning for the 1 and 2 man system will be discussed. All Umpires MUST attend either the West or East Clinic, those who attend and pay their clinic fee will receive a FREE SUPEI Crested Umpires Plate Hat (regular price $17).

Coaching Opportunity - 2013 U21 Men's Coaches

Softball PEI is seeking applications for coaching staff for PEI Men’s Team to compete at 2013 U-21 International Mens's Softball Championship in Saskatoon SK in July 2013. Coaches will be required to be fully certified Level 2 or the equivalent in the new NCCP Coaching Program or be willing to attain the level required by 2013.

All applications should include the following:

  1. Coaching Resume, including current NCCP coaching level.
  2. NCCP Coaching Number.
  3. Schedule to obtain necessary coaching certification if needed.
  4. Plan to identify players and training schedule.
  5. Police Criminal Records Check must also be submitted with resume. It is necessary to have a letter from Softball PEI for the Police to complete the check so please contact Linda at 569-4747 or email Softball PEI at softballpei@pei.sympatico.ca for the necessary letter.
